basics -Basic Information- Hollywood Undead is a rap/rock band from Los Angeles, California, hence the name Hollywood Undead. Hollywood Undead currently consists of six members, by the names of Charlie Scene, Danny, Da Kurlzz, Funny Man, J-Dog, and Johnny 3 Tears, each of whom wear their own unique masks.

A Little History A Little Piece of History

The band member, Danny hasn't always been in the band, however. While writing Swan Songs, the band used to have a member by the stage name of Tha Prodeucer. He claimed to have written Swan Songs in its entirety, and that the other members hadn't written anything, while each member of the band writes their own lyrics. When Hollywood Undead was to go on their Vatos Locos Tour, Tha Prodeucer didn't show up, so, for the first 2 weeks of that tour, Charlie Scene sang all of Tha Prodeucer's parts, untill they called up Daniel Murillo. The band members took a vote and decided that Daniel, also known as Danny was an official band member before they started writing American Tragedy, which was released on April 5th, 2011 in the United States. Tha Prodeucer is now in his own band, by the name of Deuce. Daniel was previously the lead singer for the band Lorene Drive, and had just passed the auditions for season 9 of American Idol. Daniel became an official part of Hollywood Undead and Lorene Drive is currently on hiatus because of Daniel's involvement with Hollywood Undead. slipknot The Slipknot Comparison Some people have compared Hollywood Undead to Slipknot, because of the masks, some have even insisted that Hollywood Undead is copying Slipknot, because they wear masks. The members of Hollywood Undead defended their honor and said that they wear the masks as more of an Identity or fashion factor, because they swear and make fun of certain things and they don't want people to know who they are and start to hate who they are. They also stated that the band "Kiss" wore masks, or hid their appearance so, that would mean that everyone that wears a mask is copying Kiss, but they really aren't copying anybody.
